A fire was tearing through the casino hotel where he was employed as a bar manager. They needed to find a way down from the workers’ dormitory on the third floor. Looking out from the window, Mr. Ing saw a ladder rescuers had put up. The child’s mother, who was working on a higher floor, is still missing.
